Stretched today, that has made the hip feel better. I will go for an evening walk. Still trying to figure out finances for the January half marathon in Florida.
This economy has made it tough, I am canceling my YMCA monthly membership. I know everybody is having a hard time, but that still should not stop exercising around the home.
I will keep working toward my goal, thirteen miles is a reach able goal.
My books came in and I thumbed through my "The Mediterranean Vegan Kitchen". I had a cucumber, tomato, black olive with vinegar and olive oil salad for lunch. Tasted good, it is a modified recipe.
I have not started to read "The China Study". I will probably, after I finish my blog posting.
For exercise today, I did stretching exercises. My hip started hurting this week. So stretching is what I need to do.
Watched my mail box today for my new books. They are supposed to get here from amazon.com soon. I want to read them, the China book and Mediterranean vegan cook book.
Exercise for today was walking, stretching and a bit of dancing.
Got priced out of going to the Disney's Half Marathon, if I want to stay on property. I had reservations, and I was going to add the quick service dining plan. I crunched the numbers, and even with the Marathon Discount, the trip had a thousand dollars more than I was willing to spend. I was staying at a value resort with my family of six. I tried to make the numbers work, it simply did not. We went from only owing 1800 to 2300. That was without the quick service plan added, with it added the extra.
I have never stayed off property, so I need to research that option.
So I don't know where this blog is going currently. I think I will still keep training and posting. There is always the Harrisburg half marathon next month. I can try to be ready for that one. I thought if I wasn't I still had Disney.
The worst part is that the fee is nonrefundable. I paid that in April. I need to do some research on what to do next.
